Have You Ever Been Unfaithful?

Facebook Trumps MySpace

This is a question that requires a bit of clarity because most people would answer no.  Of course that is a good thing right?  Sure it is.  Who wants to be with a cheating weasel that only cares about him or herself?  No one in their right mind or with any self-esteem would.  Often times, cheaters and heartbreakers evolve as a result of being a victim of the same pain in their past.  If you know the pain, why inflict it on someone else?  We will discuss that another day though.

Have you ever been unfaithful is the question.  Let me sum this up quickly.  If you have ever had to be told you work too much by your spouse or partner, then yes you have.  If facebook, twitter, myspace or any of the many social sites and blogs distance you from your loved one, then yes you have.  If your loved one has to request time together because you are with your friends too much, then yes you have.  You have been unfaithful by some circumstance that you were unaware of.  Being unfaithful with your time can cause just as much pain as having an affair if left to linger too long.

In marriage, the repeated denial of intimacy, whether physical or emotional, is unfaithfulness.  Ask yourself who’s wrong.  Is it the person that has an affair or the person who said no for two months straight?  Hopefully, you said they both are.  Women want romance and emotions while men want sex.  You owe it to each other, and God, to keep the marriage bed pure.  Your marriage may depend on it.
